Here are some of the events at the July 1, 2026 meeting, which took place on July 1, 2026 at the North Branch of the Summit County Library at 651 Center Circle, Silverthorne, CO 80498.
- Attendees went around the room to introduce themselves and to indicate areas of interest. Attendees included eleven licensed hams and six people who are interested in ham radio and Meshcore. This included five hams with amateur extra class licenses, four with general class licenses, and two with technician class licenses.
- An attendee told the group about the events at a 2026 Field Day where she participated, which had taken place the previous weekend.
- The operator of two-meter FM repeater WB0QMR described his repeater and explained CTCSS or PL tones.
- The operator of 70-cm DMR repeater KG0RP described his repeater.
- Two hams demonstrated how to use the WB0QMR repeater using 146.700 MHz (with a -600 kHz offset and 107.2 PL tone).
- Door prizes were awarded, including a LoRa mesh starter kit, a study book for the Technician ham radio exam, a Wio Tracker L1 Pro, and a SenseCAP Card Tracker T1000-E.
- Carl Oppedahl AA2KW described the new Meshcore network being installed in Summit County.
- The operator of the KG0RP repeater assisted Carl in configuring his handheld transceiver to make use of the KG0RP DMR system at 446.9625 MHz (CC 11).
